TORONTO — Canadian international prop Tyler Rowland is coming back for a fourth season with the Toronto Arrows.
The six-foot-one 270-pounder has made 29 appearances, including 11 starts, since his debut in the pandemic-shortened 2020 Major League Rugby season.

BURNABY, B.C. — An RCMP officer in Burnaby, B.C., has been stabbed to death in what Solicitor General Mike Farnworth calls a terrible tragedy.

IQALUIT, Nunavut — The mayor of Iqaluit says he plans to immediately step down from the job.
Kenny Bell announced his resignation as mayor of Nunavut’s capital in a statement on Twitter.
He didn’t indicate a reason but says he discussed it with friends and family.
Bell was born in Inuvik in the Northwest Territories and moved to Iqaluit in 1986.

VICTORIA — Complaints about British Columbia’s health-care system to the provincial ombudsperson have reached a 10-year high.

Police: Man arrested in connection with 4 Oklahoma slayings
OKMULGEE, Okla. (AP) — A man wanted for questioning about the deaths and dismemberment of four men in eastern Oklahoma has been arrested in Florida, police said Tuesday.
Joe Kennedy, 67, was arrested Monday in Daytona Beach Shores while driving a stolen vehicle, according to a statement by Okmulgee Police Chief Joe Prentice.

Women’s World Cup ski racing is coming to Mont-Tremblant, Que.
Alpine Canada and the ski resort northwest of Montreal have conditional approval from skiing’s world governing body for annual women’s giant slalom races from 2023 to 2025, Alpine Canada said Tuesday in a statement.
Course improvements are underway and test races are scheduled for February and March.

Two children dead, 46-year-old man arrested in Laval, north of Montreal
LAVAL, Que. — Police say two children are dead and a 46-year-old man is under arrest after officers were called to intervene at a home north of Montreal Monday evening.
A spokeswoman for police in Laval, Que., says an 11-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl were taken to hospital where their deaths were confirmed.
