MONTREAL — The Montreal Canadiens have reached a multi-year jersey partnership agreement with RBC on Monday.
Adding the RBC patch to their historic jersey is a part of the new Jersey Advertising Program that allows teams to sell advertising on their jerseys beginning this upcoming season.

Chilliwack RCMP are investigating an incident in a hold-and-secure scenario and have blocked off the entrance to the school at the southern end of Tyson Road.

HALIFAX — The inquiry investigating the Nova Scotia mass shooting has heard from a former Mountie who says he became so frustrated trying to get the RCMP to adopt a new public alerting system that he quit the police force.

TORONTO — Elias (The Spartan) Theodorou, a charismatic mixed martial artist who campaigned successfully for the right to use medical marijuana as an athlete, has died. He was 34.

Nunavut rolling out new COVID-19 vaccine to older residents
IQALUIT, Nunavut — Nunavut says it is rolling out the newly approved bivalent COVID-19 vaccine.
The territory is now offering the booster shots to people 70 and older and all residents and staff in long-term care facilities.
It says it will expand eligibility for the vaccine as supply increases.

Coalition on climate adaptation says Canada needs hard targets on disaster resilience

Canada, U.S. take women’s hockey rivalry to B.C. in November
CALGARY — Fresh off winning a women’s world hockey championship, Canada will host archrival U.S. in Kelowna and Kamloops, B.C. in November.
Games Nov. 15 in Kelowna and Nov. 17 in Kamloops are part of a Rivalry Series between the two countries this winter.

Ontario opens bivalent vaccine appointments for most vulnerable
