OTTAWA — Artists are to get paid when their work is resold in a shakeup of copyright laws that would give them a slice of collectors’ profits.

B.C. homicide squad says fatal Surrey park shooting was a targeted hit
SURREY, B.C. — Police say a shooting at a Surrey, B.C., sports field that killed two men and left another man in hospital with life-threatening injuries was a targeted crime likely connected to gangs and drugs.
