  Artists have been busy creating impressive murals in downtown Chatham during the third annual CK Can Jam event.A total of 11 murals are being created by 12 artists on the walls of buildings and five at in Tecumseh Park that will be gifted to communities in Chatham-Kent, organizers say.The festival, which promotes public art, began Sunday and wraps up Saturday.More information is available at ckcanjam.com .Here is a sample of the murals being created.

• Catholic board and treatment centre partner on autism transitional classroom

  The St. Clair Catholic District school board is partnering with the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent to support students with autism as they transition to their home schools. The treatment centre will serve as the school board’s Autism Transitional Classroom at St. Angela Merici Catholic school during the 2026-27 school year.
