    Lake Erie cargo ferry proposed between Wheatley and Cleveland
    A Wheatley company and the Port of Cleveland are proposing a Lake Erie cargo ferry to transport goods between Canada and the U.S. Milo Harbour Inc. and the port have signed a memorandum of understanding to initiate a truck ferry service across the lake. The partners are evaluating infrastructure requirements, regulatory approvals and operational planning for the proposed service, a port release said. They expect it to launch in early 2028.
