    For the fifth year, Puddleford Tree Farm has planted thousands of sunflowers for the public to enjoy and pick as a fundraiser for Chatham-Kent Alzheimer’s Society.     About 26,000 cannabis plants, which police value at $26 million, were seized from three licensed marijuana grow operations in Chatham-Kent. Health Canada agents conducted a compliance check at a site on Talbot Trail in Merlin on June 24 where the grow operation was “exploiting regulatory loopholes, significantly exceeding its authorized plant limits,” Chatham-Kent police said.     A Ridgetown woman is dead after a two-vehicle crash near Thamesville, Chatham-Kent police say. Officers were called to the collision on Longwoods Road, between Wallace Street and Pitt Road, Thursday morning police said. A Ridgetown woman, 29, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Four Counties Hospital in Newbury, where she later died, police said.
