No relief for motorists in Quebec budget, says Finance Minister Girard
QUEBEC — Finance Minister Eric Girard has alerted Quebec motorists that the budget he is to present Wednesday will not include any form of government financial relief for soaring gas prices. But Girard dropped a hint that his eighth and final Coalition Avenir Québec budget will include some good news on Quebec’s battered financial position after a string of operating deficits. Meeting reporters Tuesday, the day before tabling of the 2026-2027 annual budget in the National Asse -

Anderson covers Little Italy’s Rôtisserie L -

Mulcair: As Carney and other leaders back away, Trump flails in Iran
Donald Trump famously dodged the U.S. draft during the Vietnam War, when his father found him a possibly pliant podiatrist to sign off on a medical deferment: He had bone spurs in his heels. Trump has explained they were “temporary” bone spurs and he must be right, because they’ve apparently never interfered with his golf game! It’s not that military service in and of itself would have done anything to prepare him to be commander-in-chief of the largest military in the wo -
