Coalition Avenir Québec leadership candidate Christine Fréchette is promising what she calls a carbon tax reimbursement for farmers, something the province’s largest farmers’ group has been calling for as fuel and fertilizer prices rise.
Fréchette, who polls show is leading in the race to replace François Legault, said Thursday that if she wins, farmers will be fully reimbursed for payments related to what she described as Quebec’s carbon tax,
