    Brantford gets hit with first heat wave of summer
    Grand Erie Public Health has issued a heat alert with sweltering temperatures forecast to extend into the weekend.Environment Canada also issued an orange heat warning with a “long duration heat event” starting Tuesday and running through to Friday and, possibly, into Saturday. Maximum temperatures could reach 36C with little relief overnight as temperatures drop to between 21 to 23C.     A 27-year-old Brant County man has been charged with “ongoing harassment” according to Brant OPP.Police said they went answered a complaint call early Tuesday at about 6:30 a.m. and arrested the man, charging him with two counts of criminal harassment through repeated communication and through threatening conduct.He’s also charged with extortion, intimidation and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.The man was held for a bail hearing later on Tuesday.Police
