The County of Brant is inviting residents and visitors to take part in Culture Days celebrations this fall.
Culture Days is an annual cross-country celebration, held from Sept. 18 to Oct. 4, highlighting local arts, culture, and heritage.
“Culture Days is a wonderful community celebration and another opportunity for residents to get out and explore Brant,” said Mayor David Bailey in a media release.

A medical products manufacturer is moving from Hamilton to Brantford later this month with plans for growth.

The eastbound lanes of Highway 403 between Middle Townline Road and Rest Acres Road were closed for several hours on Friday (March 6). The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) has issued a flood watch for the entire Grand River watershed due an increased risk of snowmelt, runoff and ice jam formation.

A spike in opioid overdoses in the Brantford area is being reported for a second consecutive week.
Grand Erie Public Health issued a warning on Tuesday.
In addition to the seven non-fatal overdoses reported from Feb. 16 to 22, another 10 non-fatal overdoses occurred from Feb. 23 to March 1, based on data reported by the Brantford Police Service.
Of those 10 overdoses, five happened on Feb. 27.
