• Watch: WWII-era B-29 lands for first-ever Canadian tour

ST-HUBERT — At over 70 years of age, the Second World War-era bomber known as “Fifi” is among the last of its kind.
The Boeing B-29 Superfortress, which was delivered in 1945, is one of only a few dozen of its model still in existence — and one of only two that still flies.
On Sunday, onlookers huddled under umbrellas at Montreal’s St-Hubert airport as smoke billowed from Fifi’s propellers and her engines began to roar.
Moments later the plane was airborn

  • Jack Todd: Leave AL East to the Yankees; NL is the place for the Expos

If the day comes when a reborn Montreal Expos team is playing ball at beautiful new Felipe Alou Park, we have to hope the field will never be sullied with the designated hitter.
I don’t like the DH — but that’s not the problem. The problem is a division called the American League East.

  • Marc Richardson: Has information overload made us calloused?

I’ve drawn a blank this week. Well, at least, I thought I had drawn a blank. There’s plenty going on in Montreal and beyond, yet none of it inspired a moment where I thought: “That’s what I’m going to write about this week.”
It wasn’t a question of having writer’s block, either, because I could have written about many a topic: Donald Trump being a sleeper KGB agent — potentially, of course; the need to rethink the two-week vacation system giv

  • Fitness: Do workplace initiatives really get staff moving?

Fit employees are more productive, take fewer sick days and are less dependent on health insurance programs than their sedentary colleagues. Yet, with most of the workforce spending at least half their waking hours behind a desk, and another couple of hours a day commuting, company culture doesn’t lend itself to an active lifestyle.
Understanding the value of a fit workforce, more and more companies are offering incentives for employees to get moving. Lunch-hour fitness classes, bike stora

Providence Park in Portland is not an easy place for visiting teams to earn points in Major League Soccer.
