Opinion: Moving can be heartbreaking … in a good way
Getting rid of things in preparation for my July 1 move has been more difficult than I thought it would be.
I don’t need all the stuff I have. But I’m finding it hard to part with things, even though I know that when I get everything pared down I’ll feel a sense of relief.
When I got divorced nine years ago and moved out of my house and into this apartment, leaving things behind was easy. Almost everything I owned, right down to my pasta strainer, reminded me of my failed -

Ryan Phillips stoked for Alouettes debut at cornerback
Ryan Phillips is known for his durability, having missed only four games over his 12 seasons with British Columbia. Ironically, now that he’s with the Alouettes, he missed most of training camp, along with the regular-season opener, due to a hamstring injury.
But that’s all in the past. Phillips is expected to make his Montreal debut Friday night at Edmonton (10 p.m., TSN, RDS, TSN Radio-690), and he’ll be playing a position — field cornerback — he hasn’t line -
Review: Footloose — La comédie musicale cuts loose from original movie
The English Puritans, so the old joke goes, banned people from fornicating standing up because it might lead to dancing. Such unhinged panic over the link between sex and cutting a rug was the basis of the 1984 movie Footloose (re-made in 2011), in which a big city teen finds himself in a Hicksville hell where dancing is banned. A preposterous premise for a modern-day story, one might think, until you read that the movie was based on the real-life example of Elmore City in Oklahoma.

Opinion: How variable pricing at Hydro-Québec could give electric cars a boost
In a report made public last week, Quebec’s Energy Board recommended that Hydro Québec adopt variable pricing based on the time of day and the demand for electricity. Hydro-Québec intends to come up with a detailed plan this summer.
The idea is to use price as an incentive for users to modify their habits, consuming less electricity during peak demand times and more during off-peak hours. By introducing such “peak-load” pricing, the utility can limit the amount of -
