via abbynews.comThe Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association title defence ended for the Columbia Bible College Bearcats women’s basketball team at the Pacwest basketball provincials on the weekend in Victoria.
CBC fell 84-72 to the Capilano Blues in the bronze medal game on Saturday (March 7) to end the tournament off the podium. The Bearcats led 47-38 at halftime, but then shot just 10/31 in the second half en route to the loss.

A man who was sentenced in 2017 in Manitoba to a seven-year jail term for recording and photographing himself sexually abusing a two-year-old girl has now been charged in Abbotsford.
Cory Allan Bloomer, 44 – who was declared a dangerous offender during his sentencing – was recently charged in Abbotsford with possessing child sex-abuse material, according to court records.
