    Chilliwack RCMP say they issued nine tickets to a person driving a dune buggy on a public street.

    The Yukon RCMP Crime Reduction Unit arrested three men and seized nearly a kilogram of suspected drugs following a months-long trafficking investigation in Whitehorse, according to a Feb. 2 news release.

    Emergency officials say there is no tsunami threat to B.C. after a 4.2-magnitude earthquake in California Monday morning (Feb. 2).

    Shots were fired on Tolmie Road in Abbotsford overnight.
    According to Abbotsford Police Department’s weekend recap, officers responded to a report of shots fired just before 3 a.m. on Monday (Feb. 2) at the 4600 block of Tolmie Road.
    Evidence on the road confirmed a shooting occurred, the department said.
    However, police say no victims or suspects were found and the motive remains under investigation.

    A collision on Highway 1 in Abbotsford on Saturday (Jan. 31) caused a semi-truck to crash into a tree.
    According to a social media post from the Abbotsford Police Department, a passenger vehicle spun out and collided with the semi near the Peardonville Road overpass late in the afternoon.The truck went off the road and crashed into a tree.
    One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries, but police say no serious injuries were reported.
