Abbotsford Police Department was called out to a theft in progress at a business in the 1300 block of Sumas Way on Thursday, Feb. 5 around 6:20 p.m.

A train carrying coal that derailed near Colebrook Road and 125A Street in Surrey on Friday morning does not appear to have spilled coal into any waterways.

The rate recommended by city staff for this year is 4.94 per cent (a 4.44 per cent tax revenue increase plus a .5 per cent infrastructure levy) – a one per cent drop from the tax increase in the previous budget.
