    Wildfire ignites off Coquihalla Highway, 25 km north of Hope
    A wildfire that sparked off the Coquihalla Highway on Wednesday evening quickly grew to 1 hectare in size.
    The blaze was first reported just after 6 p.m. near Dewdney Creek, approximately 25 km southwest of Hope.This wildfire does not currently pose a threat to structures, critical infrastructure, or public safety and Highway 5 remains open.
    The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
    BC Wildfire Service is responding to the blaze, which is visible from the Coquihalla.
