There is a good chance that soon, after more than a century of zig-zags, opt-outs, local referendums and general confusion about what time it is, all of B.C.’s clocks might finally line up.
Premier David Eby ended twice-yearly clock changes as of March 8 for the parts of B.C. that use Pacific time, which make up the bulk of the province. But he is leaving it up to local governments currently on Mountain time to decide whether to end clock changes as well.

Heavy rain begins road closures in Abbotsford

Rainfall warning, high streamflow advisory remain in effect for Fraser Valley
via abbynews.comA rainfall warning for the Fraser Valley from Environment Canada remains in effect on Wednesday (March 18).
As part of a “prolonged atmospheric river event”, the yellow warning is projecting total rainfall amounts between 50 and 100 mm from Tuesday night (March 17) to midday on Thursday (March 19).
Another heavy rain event is expected from Thursday night to Friday (March 20), with strong southwesterly winds also forecast on Friday.

The equipment can track the strength and direction of AM and FM signals, but here on the beach, the emergency location transponder signal she’s looking for seems to be bouncing off the water or across the bay.

Langley adaptive sports day event expands to involve entire Lower Mainland
via abbynews.comA surge of interest expanded a Langley adaptive soccer event into a much larger sports day that involves sports groups from across the entire Lower Mainland.
“It’s kind of evolved over time,” explained organizer Jasmina Parhar, Vancouver FC’s manager of game operations and events.
“We’re calling it an adaptive sports day as opposed to an adaptive soccer festival.”
