Creators bring movies to life in 48 hours for Abbotsford Film Festival

This impressive task is part of the 48-hour film challenge at the annual Abbotsford Film Festival, with teams competing against one another to see who can produce the best piece of cinema in such a short window of time.

The event runs from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at Bradner Hall, 5305 Bradner Rd.
Volunteers on the history committee have been working hard to gather stories to share with guests.

Swartz Bay police incident delays Victoria to Vancouver ferry sailing
via abbynews.comA police incident at the Swartz Bay ferry terminal caused a delay for a Thursday afternoon (March 12) sailing between Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland.
BC Ferries said a vessel bound for Tsawwassen was held in dock while police responded.
Once the incident had been resolved, the 3 p.m. sailing departed 23 minutes behind schedule.

The Community Energy Diesel Reduction Program helps pay for clean energy projects in off-grid communities and is part of the province’s CleanBC strategy.
