Michael Hage, as we know, is one of the Habs' top prospects. The forward has just had two strong seasons in the NCAA, and many people see him as a key part of the Habs' future.
Some even see him already as the center on the second line… though others wonder if he'll play center once he reaches the NHL.
That said, Hage has decided to return to the NCAA next year instead of making the jump to the pros. This means that, barring a major turnaround, he won't be able to help the Canadiens until

EXCLUSIVE | Details of Kaiden Guhle’s Second Surgery
via dose.ca
Last week, Habs fans were riled up when a video was posted showing Kaiden Guhle skating in his sweatpants, while all the other Habs defensemen were skating together in full gear.
For the next two days, Guhle didn't skate, and then on Friday, everyone—media and fans alike—was denied access to the arena.
Clearly, seeing a news story about Kaiden Guhle break like this in the middle of summer didn't sit well with some people within the Canadiens organization. That, and the fact that some -

According to Don Waddell, Kirill Marchenko is (more than) available in Columbus
via dose.ca
Something's going on with Kirill Marchenko in Columbus right now.
We know the player has been at the center of several rumors… and the fact that he didn't show up for his team's golf tournament yesterday has only added fuel to the fire.
Let's just say that Don Waddell's recent comments probably won't help either…
The Jackets' GM had said earlier this summer that he didn't want to trade the Russian. But he's changed his tune, mentioning in a recent interview that he'd be exploring h -
Baseball in Quebec This Week: A Quebec City–New York matchup on the schedule
via dose.ca
The final game of the 2026 season took place last Sunday in the Frontière League. The Trois-Rivières Eagles happily ended their season on a high note by sweeping their final home series.
The organization also took advantage of the occasion to recognize players who stood out in various categories. The Rookie of the Year award went to Taeg Gollert, who joined the team midseason after a successful stint in the NCAA. The community involvement of Emmanuel Tapia and Charles Lefebvre was -

Chris Kreider Linked to the Canadiens by a New York Reporter
via dose.ca
As you may have seen, Chris Kreider will be a free agent. He'll have the chance to sign a contract as a free agent in the coming days.
So the question is: Would he want to come to Montreal?
And would the Montreal team—which is completely different from the one in 2014—be willing to sign the player who injured Carey Price during the infamous 2014 playoffs?
Kreider (22 goals and 50 points in 75 games last season in Anaheim) wants to return to the East. And naturally, we suspect he'd li -
Chris Kreider is set to terminate his contract with the Ducks
via dose.ca
Big news.
We were wondering how the Ducks were going to resolve their salary cap issues, which were caused by Leo Carlsson and (the demands of) Cutter Gauthier.
Well, Elliotte Friedman has just given us the answer.
In an article on the Sportsnet website (welcome back, my friend), the insider reported that the Ducks and the player had agreed to terminate his contract.
This won't be a buyout since the player agreed to it. Instead, it will be the end of the contract, which will make the player a fr -
Josh Donaldson accuses Jomboy of controlling Aaron Boone
via dose.ca
Just because Josh Donaldson isn’t playing anymore doesn’t mean he can’t continue to make headlines in the world of baseball.
For example?
Recently, on his podcast (Get It Done League), he accused Jomboy—who has Aaron Boone as a guest on his podcast once a week—of dictating the Yankees' lineup.
He gave examples from the past of players who were benched after Jomboy spoke with Boone. He added that in a locker room, that doesn't go over well.

Quinta Brunson is locking in for Abbott Elementary’s sixth season, saying the fifth season meandered a bit and had some filler. Of course she holds herself to a high standard, but some filler is expected of a network sitcom that runs for years and years. Friends had filler, Modern Family had filler – it’s part of the charm.View this post on InstagramA post shared by Quinta Brunson (@quintab)

The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced its Players of the Week on Wednesday, honoring three athletes who played a key role in their teams' victories.
Tyrice Beverette of the Montreal Alouettes, along with Dhel Duncan-Busby and Trevor Harris of the Saskatchewan Roughriders, were each recognized for their outstanding performances.
For Saskatchewan, veteran quarterback Trevor Harris delivered a particularly strong performance in the team's dramatic 32-26 overtime victory over the Winnipeg Blu -
2018 Team Canada Junior Feature: The First Player Arrives in Canada
via dose.ca
In 2025, the five players at the center of the 2018 Team Canada Junior scandal were acquitted following a trial that, as you know, received a great deal of media attention.
They were subsequently cleared to return to the NHL.
Carter Hart was the only one to do so in 2025–2026, and he led the Golden Knights to within a few games of a Stanley Cup. That, too, caused quite a stir during the playoffs.
Finding him a team hadn't been easy. Returning to Philly wasn't an option. The idea of him sig -
Billionaires suck in bad sweaters
via laineygossip.com
Since “billionaires suck” is a theme at the movies, I guess it’s a theme on the site today too. Because it’s a theme in real life – all around us billionaires and their billionaire decisions have had an impact on our communities, how we live and how we work. And pop culture has always been a reflection of humanity, in this case how the inhumane are actively destroying it. On the off chance you think this is hyperbolic, catch up on the Jacob Coxon story that broke ye -
Alexander Zharovsky scores his first goal of the season
via dose.ca
In his second game of the season, Alexander Zharovsky recorded two assists.
And this morning (Quebec time, at least), the Montreal Canadiens prospect found the back of the net for the first time in the 2026–2027 season.
Grant McCagg talked about it on X.Look who's heating up! Alex Zharovsky scored an early goal today after recording two primary assists late in the last game. Check out the highlights on tonight's HabsCast at 7 PM. Subscribe to HabsCast on YouTube. #GoHabsGo pic.twitter.com/ -
Garrett Crochet could return to the playoffs (without having pitched beforehand)
via dose.ca
The Boston Red Sox had a spectacular run earlier this season, which has put them comfortably in playoff contention.
All of this has been achieved without their ace pitcher, Garrett Crochet, who has missed the vast majority of the 2026 season. Captain Crochet has been sidelined since late April due to inflammation in his left shoulder.
It appears, however, that the Red Sox's left-hander could be back in time for the postseason—but in a relief role—without having pitched in the regular -
Luca Guadagnino has entered the awards chat
via laineygossip.com
Just yesterday I mentioned Luca Gudagnino’s upcoming film Artificial, about OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, and lo, we have a teaser. This film is apparently critical of Altman, and coming from Guadagnino, a director who likes to push buttons, and writer Simon Rich, who finds the sublime in the ridiculous, I can easily see Artificial being a Social Network-style harpooning of a tech titan (who can’t take criticism).
The teaser, however, is not leaning into subversion so much as classic presti -
Jeff Gorton: “Here’s why we’ll never trade Josh Anderson”
via dose.ca
I don’t know if you’re watching the series “The Rebuild” on Crave.
If so, you may have noticed that Jeff Gorton is taking center stage. And I don't mean that in a negative way—after all, he is still the club's president of hockey operations.
It's nothing against Kent Hughes either, but Gorton simply stands out more.
In Episode #3, which aired yesterday, we see Jeff Gorton expressing his dissatisfaction with Canadiens fans leaving the Bell Centre before the end of a -
Aaron Rodgers’ Major Revelation About the Upcoming Season
via dose.ca
Aaron Rodgers didn't return to the NFL simply to extend an already exceptional career.
In Pittsburgh, the
veteran
quarterback
has a much bigger goal: to win a second Super Bowl title before hanging up his cleats for good.
As he heads into his 22nd season in the league, Rodgers still seems driven by a desire to win. After joining the Steelers this spring, the four-time MVP quickly expressed his confidence in
Pittsburgh's plan and in the players currently on the team.

Dear Gossips,From Anne Hathaway to Zendaya and Florence Pugh to Robert Pattinson, there are several actors this year with multiple high-profile prestige and/or blockbuster films that have already been released or have yet to be released. Retirement for a 26-year-old Alouettes player

At just 26 years old, Arthur Hamlin is already turning a major page in his professional career.
The Montreal Alouettes
announced on Wednesday that the defensive back was leaving the team, bringing his time with the Montreal franchise to an end.

Michael Hage’s Season and Its Impact on Oliver Kapanen’s Future
via dose.ca
A few months ago, Kent Hughes said he believed that young Oliver Kapanen had what it takes to compete to be the team's second-line center in the future.
I don't know about you, but I never really believed it.
In reality, I mostly saw a GM who wanted to boost his player's confidence while things were going well for the young man at that point in his rookie season. And that's perfectly fine.
Since then? Kapanen has inevitably slowed down and has been benched in the playoffs more often than not.

via dose.ca
It's a good thing Kazuma Okamoto is on the Blue Jays this season. We can all agree on that.
Without him, the offense would have been even less dynamic this season.
Just yesterday, he found a way to step up in his team's win in Sacramento. He had two hits, including a home run.

The Rays are in the process of building a new stadium to remain in Tampa Bay… and the A's, for their part, will be moving to Vegas shortly.
As a result, people have been talking about expansion again for a little while now. And of course, in Montreal, the hope of seei -
Canadien: An Important Date to Watch for a Potential Trade
via dose.ca
Since the start of the summer, Kent Hughes has not been able to add an NHL-caliber player to his roster. He hasn't lost any talent (except for some depth players), but he hasn't added any either.
As things stand, the 2026–27 Habs are shaping up to look a lot like the 2025–26 Habs.
But of course, the door isn't completely closed yet for that to happen. There's still time… and Marco D'Amico, who answered questions from fans on Reddit tonight, mentioned a specific date to watch f
