A 21-year-old woman was taken to a major trauma centre following an assault on Wealdstone High Street in the early hours of Friday morning.

Fire engines could be seen outside the Holiday Inn as crews dealt with the incident on Friday afternoon, 14 August.

Students at Avanti House Secondary School in Stanmore are celebrating after the school recorded its strongest A-level results to date.
The results, released on A-level results day on Thursday 13 August, show that 42.7% of all grades were A* or A, up by almost 12 percentage points compared with last year.
