Zee moves SAT, seeks one-day extension for warrant subscription
SAT had earlier allowed Zee to raise funds through warrants and gave the broadcaster a week to complete the subscription. That deadline fell on Aug 21. Zee allotted about 21 crore warrants at Rs 126 apiece to Sunbright Mauritius Investments, a promoter group entity, on that date. Sunbright had paid 25% of the amount — about Rs 660 crore — at allotment. -

RBI turns net buyer of dollars in June

The dollar purchases came as resident Indians increased outward remittances under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme. -
Federal Bank shares fall post merger talks
Jana Small Finance Bank has sought a universal banking licence from RBI. RBI returned its initial application in June 2025, leaving the lender open to making a future submission. Jana was among the microfinance lenders that received a specialised banking licence in 2017. It began operations as a small finance bank in March and went public in Feb 2024. -

Air India seeks $1.5 billion from owners Tata, Singapore Air
Air India needs capital, but the $1.5 billion will be injected in phases, people familiar with the matter said. Co-owner Singapore Airlines will contribute its 25% share. Tata Sons had paused additional equity support in the year to March 2026. Its investment in Air India stood unchanged at Rs 22,618 crore in the FY2026 report, the same level as a year earlier — indicating no fresh equity was infused during the year.
