Cotton Association of India has raised current-season cotton pressing to 339 lakh bales, 11 per cent above its initial estimate of 305 lakh bales.
The latest estimate is 8.5 per cent higher than 2024–25, with increases in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Imports are projected at 62 lakh bales and closing stocks at 93.59 lakh bales by September 30, 2026.
