Stripe en Advent doen overnamebod van ruim 53 miljard dollar op PayPal

Betaalbedrijf Stripe heeft samen met investeringsmaatschappij Advent International een bod uitgebracht op PayPal. De twee partijen bieden gezamenlijk 60,50 dollar per aandeel, waarmee het Amerikaanse betaalplatform wordt gewaardeerd op ruim 53 miljard dollar. Het voorstel wordt ondersteund door ongeveer 50 miljard dollar aan toegezegde bankfinanciering.
