  Nigeria added to its medal tally at the 2026 Commonwealth Games on Sunday after Ruth Asuquo Nyong won silver in the women’s 48kg weightlifting event, lifting a combined 168kg.
   According to the NSC media, Nyong opened with a 75kg snatch, placing her third behind India’s Mirabai Chanu Saikhom (85kg) and Malaysia’s Irene Jane Henry (77kg).
