Ferrari piles on the downforce for its first road-legal, special-series XX modelThat the Ferrari SF90 XX wasn't in the original production plan for the Ferrari SF90 tells you something about its gestation. Ferrari had made a near-as-darnit 1000bhp plug-in hybrid supercar and yet it never quite clicked with customers in the same way that its lighter, cheaper, less powerful-mid engined supercars did.The XX model, then, feels reactive. Tesla is undergoing layoffs, with Elon Musk confirming the loss of two senior executives and plans to reduce overhead by cutting staff. This has been relatively common within the automotive sector, with legacy manufacturers having engaged in rolling layoffs for years as a way to offset development costs and maximize profits. But Tesla has long been viewed as the vanguard of electrification and the brand most other EV manufacturers hope to embody due to its meteoric rise.

Additionally, the states have alleged these

Automatic Emergency Braking to Be Required for All New Vehicles in 2029
Automakers are increasingly making advanced driver assist systems (ADAS) like automatic emergency braking (AEB) standard to meet tightening crash-test standards, but that feature will become required by law in 2029. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recently finalized a rule requiring that AEB be included on all new vehicles by 2029.

Electric vehicle naysayers have a whole host of arguments against moving away from internal combustion. Range anxiety is often one of the first to hit the table, but that’s quickly becoming a non-issue as most new EVs offer a serviceable driving range. Charging time is another argument, but it’s one that actually has some teeth. Even the fastest-charging models still take upwards of half an hour to recover a meaningful amount of driving range, but Polestar recently demonstrated that
