Justice E. A. Ashade of the Lagos State High court, sitting in Tafawa Balewa Square, has struck out a N167,886,591,60 theft charge preferred against them by the police against an Oyo State local government council official, Badmus Adesina, and a lawyer, Ibukunoluwa Konu.
Justice Ashade struck out the charge with No: LD/11439C/2020 and discharged Adesina and Konu after a Director of Public Prosecution’s (DPP) report stated they have no case to answer.

The Kaduna State Government said on Sunday that bandits killed an 80-year-old woman and four other people in separate attacks in parts of the state.
Mr Samuel Aruwan, the state’s Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs disclosed this in a statement.
He said the old woman was killed when the bandits attacked Sharu village in Igabi Local Government Area (LGA) of the state where they raided several homes.

17 persons kidnapped in Niger

Seventeen people have been reportedly kidnapped by bandits in Niger state.
They were kidnapped in three different communities including Bassa/Kukoki Ward both in Shiroro local government area of the state.
Vanguard gathered that the people were kidnapped on Saturday night in Madagwa, Wongo and Marenje Communities.

There was an uproar in Victoria Island area of Lagos weekend as Military personnel allegedly hired by the driver of a vehicle with covered number plate attempted to shoot operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, RRS, in a bid to prevent them from impounding the vehicle.
