The CH’s summer in three questions, the main one being…

Now that we've covered our top 15 most promising CH prospects, it would be good to revisit some summer topics that we've put on the back burner.
Here are three questions that still deserve some thought and answers before the next season kicks off! There are plenty of others, but hey, we have to keep it short…
So let's start with two quick appetizers before tackling THE big question as the main course!
1. Who will replace Brendan Gallagher as assistant captain?
The answer to this question

When people ask me what I think about the Blue Jays' chances of making the playoffs in 2026, I often give the same answer.
What I say is that the team has been playing better for the past month, but I need to see consistency to prove that this past month is also representative of the 2026 Blue Jays.
After all, from March through July, we saw what the 2026 Blue Jays were really like.
And even though there have been some good moments recently, there have also been games the Blue Jays let slip away

Starting next week, the Canadiens' training camp will get underway. And we'll start to get some answers about the lines Martin St-Louis has put together.
At first, it'll just be hints… but as time goes on, we'll see more of what the Habs have in store for their fans.

At this time of year, there isn’t much going on in the NHL.
Hockey fans have already been surprised by the Luke Evangelista trade. Aside from that trade, things have been pretty quiet over the past two months, which is to be expected.
However, there are still a few loose ends to tie up, and Shane Wright is one of them.
The Seattle Kraken forward has been at the center of several trade rumors, and he's expected to change teams at some point this season—if not before the season starts.

Matvei Michkov is certainly a polarizing player.
While he may not make headlines for spectacular play, he all too often does so for negative reasons.
His physical conditioning, his defensive shortcomings, his off-ice behavior… In short, although he's very talented, he remains a player who can be quite difficult to coach.
John Tortorella broke the ice with the Russian when he arrived in the NHL, and now it's Rick Tocchet's turn to manage him.

After several days off, Shohei Ohtani will return to his team's lineup tonight against the Reds.

All in all, the 2026 MLB season is already starting to wind down. There are only three weeks left on the schedule before the real season begins—the season of October baseball.

Today, Gleb Pugachyov, the Canadiens' most recent first-round pick, played his first game of the season. For the occasion, the kid was on his team's first line in the MHL.
He may eventually play in the KHL, but for now, he'll start out in the MHL.
