    YUBA CITY (CBS13) — Authorities say a home near Yuba City caught fire and had to be evacuated after a car crashed into it over the weekend.

    The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office says, on Sunday, a car crashed into a residence near Cherry Street and Anna Lane. No injuries were reported, but the residence caught fire after the crash and everyone had to evacuate.

    KINGVALE (CBS13) — A small earthquake rattled the Sierra Nevada early Wednesday morning.
    According to the US Geological Survey, the magnitude 3.6 quake hit just before 1:30 a.m. It was centered just north of Kingvale.
    USGS’s shake map shows the quake being felt as far east as the California-Nevada stateliness and all the way down to the foothills, just past Auburn, to the west.

    On Tuesday, the US Attorney’s Office announced a six-count indictment against 46-year-old Acampo resident Robert Allen Pooley.
    Prosecutors allege that Pooley had been continuing to run tandem skydiving instructor courses after he had his rating pulled in 2015. Pooley is also suspected of concealing his suspension from the candidates he was teaching.
