  • Boy, 14, Shot Several Times While Walking In South LA

    LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — A 14-year-old boy is hospitalized Thursday after being shot several times in South Los Angeles.
    The teenager was walking near 25th and Hoover just before midnight when police say someone walked up and opened fire, then ran away.
    The boy was taken to a hospital in stable condition. He is expected to survive.
    A description of the shooter or a possible motive was not immediately released.

    LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — A 5-year-old boy was killed Wednesday following a shooting in Leimert Park.
    The shooting occurred around 1:10 p.m. in the 2000 block of west Forty-First Street.
    The boy was taken to a local trauma center suffering from a gunshot wound. He later succumbed to his injuries.
