    According to Newsom, the number of coronavirus hospitalizations statewide is up 43% in the past two weeks, while ICU admissions also jumped 37%.

    Riverside County health officials reported 991 newly confirmed cases and two more fatalities since Friday, bringing countywide totals to 16,634 cases and 440 deaths. The county said 7,667 people had recovered from the illness.

    RIVERSIDE (CBSLA) – Health officials in Riverside County Monday ordered all bars to close following what officials are calling an upswing in confirmed COVID-19 cases.
    The order, which goes into effect Tuesday, follows an executive order from California Gov. Gavin Newsom to shut down bars in Los Angeles County and six other counties.

    Orange County Now On State’s ‘Watch List’ As Cases Surpass 13K
    SANTA ANA (CBSLA) — Orange County health officials reported 456 new coronavirus cases and four additional deaths Monday as Gov. Gavin Newsom said the county has been added to the state’s “watch list” due to concerning coronavirus statistics.
    The county’s total number of cases now stands at 13,064 cases and 330 fatalities.
    Last week, officials confirmed the county’s deadliest week since the pandemic began with 56 reported deaths.
