  JEFFERSON PARISH - The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is investigating a fatal boating incident that claimed the life of a 45-year-old male.On Saturday around 12:30 p.m. agents with LDWF received information about a missing boater in Lake Pontchartrain near Metairie.The body of Ronald Taylor Jr. of Kenner, was recovered from Lake Pontchartrain shortly after the incident.According to the operator of the boat, he and Taylor Jr. were trawling for shrimp when the trawl got caught on

  BATON ROUGE - Deputies are investigating a shooting that sent on man to the hospital Sunday afternoon.Around 1:40 p.m. in the 12000 block of White Chapel Road near Siegen Lane a man was shot outside of a residence.When the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office arrived on scene they discovered that the victim was transported to a hospital in a personal vehicle.Detectives believe that the shooting occurred due to an ongoing dispute.Details are limited.
