    Tiger Brands mulls sale of processed meats operations
    Tiger Brands is considering selling its processed meats business that was identified as the source of the South African Listeria outbreak in 2017 and 2018.

    Ready-to-eat entrees, including some packaged for Quick & Easy and others for amazon go, are the subject of a public alert from the USDA because they contain vegetables recalled by Mann’s Packing because of potential Listeria contamination.

    Company recalls imported fish; inspectors say catfish labeled as tilapia
    A New York importer is recalling an undetermined amount of frozen catfish that is incorrectly labeled as tilapia. Some of the fish has sell by dates as far away as January 2021.
    Inspectors from the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service discovered the problem during routine surveillance activities, according to the recall notice posted by the federal agency. The fish, imported from Hong Kong, was not presented for FSIS import re-inspection.
