  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The “Walk For Wishes” event was held Saturday morning, to help the dreams of children with critical illness come true.It was a chance to be a hero to a hero at the Walk for Wishes at the State Capitol.
  The Make a Wish Foundation was celebrating and raising money for children with critical illnesses with a one-mile walk fundraiser.Last year make a wish granted more than 1,500 wishes across the country wishes are real medicine.

  SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A pedestrian has died after a hit-and-run in south Sacramento Tuesday night.
  Sacramento police say officers responded to the area of Power Inn and Elder Creek roads around 8:30 p.m. to investigate a report of a person struck by a vehicle.
  At the scene, officers found a man suffering from serious injuries. He was soon pronounced dead by medics, police say.
