    MANTECA (CBS13) – Police in Manteca are sending out an alert to new Accord and Camry owners after a recent string tire and wheel thefts have left cars on blocks.

  • Big Rig Carrying 30K Pounds Of Frozen Chicken Crashes Off Freeway, Lands In Turlock Street

    TURLOCK (CBS13) – Authorities say a big rig launched off Highway 99 in Turlock early Monday morning.
    The incident happened just before 2:30 a.m.
    According to California Highway Patrol’s Modesto division, a big rig carrying about 30,000 pounds of frozen chicken entered the center divider, took out about 200-feet of guardrail, went off the freeway and landed on Fulkerth Road.

    ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – A memorial has been scheduled for Roseville Police Officer Cameron Landon, who passed away in his sleep on Tuesday, July 16 at just 36 years old.

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – A three-vehicle collision Sunday afternoon resulted in one person being taken to a nearby hospital, according to California Highway Patrol.
    The collision, which was reported just after 2 p.m., happened on Yolo WB 50 near Harbor Boulevard. A total of three people were involved, and only one was transported with major injuries.

    SOMERSET (CBS13) – A 60-year-old man died in Somerset Saturday afternoon after his vehicle struck a tree, according to California Highway Patrol.
    The victim was driving a Chevrolet Pickup west on Grizzly Flat Road at approximately 60 miles per hour. For reason unclear at the moment, the driver veered off the road and struck a tree head-on. He was declared dead on the scene.
