    FOLSOM LAKE (CBS13) — Two people were transported to an area hospital with burns Friday after a boat fire on Folsom Lake.
    The South Placer Fire District said the fire was reported around 4:45 p.m. Friday. Firefighters were shuttled to the fire on a private boat with a portable pump, hose and tools. State Parks and El Dorado County Sheriff’s boats assisted with the rescue of three occupants on the burning boat.

  • Sacramento Man Among Two Indicted For Heroin Distribution And Illegal Firearms Dealing In Stockton

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A Sacramento man was one of two people indicted for heroin distribution and the unlawful dealing of firearms in Stockton, U.S. Attorney McGregor W. Scott announced Thursday.
    Elmer Rodriguez-Colio, 30, of Sacramento and 25-year-old Josevan Arias, of Posen, Illinois, were charged with conspiracy to distribute and the distribution of heroin. Arias was separately charged with dealing firearms without a license.

    CERES (CBS13) — Ceres police are searching for a hit-and-run suspect that struck a child crossing the street near Caswell Elementary School Thursday afternoon.

    MEADOW VISTA (CBS13) — A woman who was shot in Placer County on Wednesday has died, and her boyfriend is in custody on suspicion of murder.
    Around 1 p.m. Wednesday, deputies were called out to a residence in Meadow Vista on reports of a shooting. There, they found the victim, identified as 23-year-old Sarah Rose, suffering from a gunshot wound, according to a Placer County Sheriff’s Office statement.

    AUBURN (CBS13) — Police in Auburn are looking for a driver accused of intentionally mowing down two men in front of a bar Wednesday morning.
