  • Man Chases Down, Shoots Suspect In Leg For Stealing His Gold Chain, Deputies Say

    SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY (CBS13) — Deputies say a robbery victim chased down the suspects who took his gold chain and shot one in the leg Friday evening in Stockton.
    The incident happened on the 4300 block of East Main Street around 5 p.m. Friday. Investigators said a Hispanic man was standing East Main St. when he was approached by two Hispanic men who punched him and ripped his gold chain from his neck.

  • PG&E: Power Restored To 97% Of Customers Friday Night

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Approximately 21,000 customers are still without power Friday night, going on three days in the dark.
    Pacific Gas and Electric Co. reported Friday evening that 97% of customers impacted by the Public Safety Power Shutoff had their power restored. An “all clear” was issued for all 35 affected counties by 3:30 p.m. Friday.

    AUBURN (CBS13) — Into the third day of the PG&E Public Safety Shutoffs, thousands of lineman worked to restore power across Northern California, but many in Auburn and the surrounding areas were still in the dark Friday evening.
    They were open for business in downtown Auburn, but it’s taken a little longer in some of the more remote areas.
    “I haven’t got to Delta, I am still finishing Alta,” said PGE lineman, Aaron Rubio, as he worked to restore power to Friday.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California will be the first state to require abortion medication on college campuses under a new law signed Friday by Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom.
