    DAVIS (CBS13) — Traffic is backing up on eastbound I-80 near Davis because of a vehicle fire.

  • Small Plane Crashes Off Runway At Nevada County Airport, No One Hurt

    GRASS VALLEY (CBS13) – The FAA is investigating after a small plane crashed off the runway at the Nevada County Airport on Friday.
    The incident happened around 1:40 p.m., according to the FAA. Authorities say a single-engine CJ-6 went off the runway while landing and crashed.
    Two people were on board the plane; both people escaped without injury, local authorities say.
    The plane suffered “significant” damage.

  • NB Highway 65 Off-Ramp To Galleria Boulevard To See Extended Closure

    ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – Some upcoming roadwork may change your route to the Roseville Galleria.
    Starting Easter Sunday at 10 p.m., Caltrans will close the northbound Highway 65 off-ramp to Stanford Ranch Road and Galleria Boulevard.
    Drivers who need to get to Galleria Boulevard are advised to continue on northbound Highway 65, take the Pleasant Grove Boulevard exit, turn left onto Pleasant Grove, then get back onto Highway 65 southbound and take the southbound exit of Galleria Boulevard/Stanfo

    ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – A soldier from Sacramento County is working to get a dog he formed a special bond with in Afghanistan back to the US.

    LAS VEGAS (AP) – Court officers admonished a 27-year-old Las Vegas man for flashing a note while standing before a judge on murder and conspiracy charges in the killing of a California doctor.
    Jon Logan Kennison acknowledged the charges against him Friday while the judge scheduled him to appear with two other defendants June 3 for a preliminary hearing of evidence in the slaying of 71-year-old psychiatrist Thomas Burchard.

  • City To Convert Downtown Hotel To A Homeless Shelter

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The City of Sacramento is one step closer to opening a homeless shelter at a Downtown Hotel.
    The shelter would be inside the Capitol Park Hotel downtown at the corner of 9th and L Street. It would have 180 new triage beds as well as single-room units.

    ORANGEVALE (CBS13) — Firefighters responded to the scene of a multi-vehicle collision in Orangevale Thursday evening.
    The collision between a minivan and SUV happened at Hazel Avenue and Central Avenue around 7:17 p.m. Thursday. Metro Fire said one of the vehicles rolled over and caught fire.

    SOUTH SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Deputies have detained a male subject after a police chase that started in Rancho Cordova. The driver reportedly did not pull over during a traffic stop, prompting the pursuit.

  • 29-Year-Old Alexander Ham Identified As Missing Person In Possible Drowning At Folsom Lake

    EL DORADO COUNTY (CBS13) — The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office has identified the missing person possibly in Folsom Lake as 29-year-old Alexander Ham. Officials believe Ham drowned on Sunday evening while riding personal watercraft with his friend at the lake.
    It is not believed that he was wearing a life vest or personal safety device at the time of the accident. Ham is now listed as a missing person.

  • Search On For Subject With Warrant For Child Molestation

    MARYSVILLE (CBS13) — Police are searching for a 34-year-old Marysville man accused of molesting a female victim.

    Officers said the female victim arrived at the police department Sunday to report she had been molested six to eight years ago. The victim reported there were multiple incidents that occurred over the course of time.
    Police are now searching for Adrian Angel, 34. The police department has an active felony $100,000 warrant for Angel.
