• 11,000 PG&E Customers Without Power In Foothills, Sierra After Storms

    SONORA (CBS13) – Thousands of people are still in the dark Wednesday after losing power because of the recent storms.
    As of 2 p.m. Wednesday, there were still 11,000 people without power and 2,000 of those people in Sonora. Some affected PG&E customers may not have their power restored until Saturday because of looming weather conditions, a company spokesperson says.

    MANTECA (CBS13) – A teenage girl is in critical condition after being the victim of a drive-by shooting in Manteca.
    Around 10:43 p.m. Sunday, 18-year-old Masiah Turner was a passenger in a car traveling in the area of West Louise Avenue, east of North Airport Way when someone shot at the car, hitting Turner in the head. The driver then drove to another location and called 911, according to a Manteca Police Department statement.

    ROCKLIN (CBS13) – Quarry Park Adventures in Rocklin is close to getting a new operator that would allow the park to stay open 7 days a week, year-round. The only time the park would close would be on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CBS13/AP) — A Rio Linda man has been convicted of fatally punching an 85-year-old man because he parked too close to his car at a gas station.
    A jury on Tuesday found 21-year-old Larry Ray Richey, of Rio Linda, guilty of felony elder abuse and battery causing great bodily injury for the punch he delivered in the Dec. 12, 2016, attack on Lawrence Windham.

  • Sheriff: Fire At Auto Repair Shop In Rio Linda Was Honey Oil Lab Explosion; Suspect At Large

    RIO LINDA (CBS13) – A fire sparked up overnight at an auto repair shop in Rio Linda was caused by a drug lab explosion, say authorities.
    Deputies are now searching for a male who left the scene of the fire just before authorities arrived.

    LODI (CBS13) – A building at Tower Park Marina in Lodi was destroyed by a fire on Tuesday night.The fire broke out at 9 p.m. at a boat house at the marina that is near the Yogi Bear Jelly Stone Park.     ROCKLIN (CBS13) — A family stopped by Rocklin fire station 25 to thank the first responders that helped save their daughter Genevieve last week.
