  • WWII Pilot Missing For Almost 75 Years Has Remains Identified, Returned To Ohio

    (CNN) — Seventy-five years after a World War II pilot’s plane went down in the Mediterranean, his remains have finally been returned home to Ohio for burial.
    Army Air Forces 2nd Lt. James R. Lord went missing on August 10, 1944, after his plane crashed into the sea near Corsica. Lord was only 20 at the time and was engaging enemy gunfire in the Savona region of northwest Italy, according to a military news release.

    WYALUSING, Pa. (AP) – State police say four people were found dead in a northern Pennsylvania home in what is believed to have been a homicide-suicide.
    Police in Bradford County said the bodies were found Friday in a home in Wyalusing.
    Police said Jesse Lee Northrup is believed to have shot and killed Edwin Bidlack, Candy Diane Bidlack and Johnnie Johnson, whose bodies were found in separate locations in the residence.

    NEW YORK (CBS) – Authorities say a man is facing attempted murder and arson charges in connection to a blaze that tore through a home and spread to two others, injuring more than a dozen residents and first responders.
