    18-year-old Lincoln East Student Dies
    Lincoln Police say, an 18-year-old Lincoln East student was found unresponsive by a family member and friend, early Saturday morning. Paramedics arrived a little after midnight and transported him to St. Elizabeth Hospital where he was pronounced dead around 1:30 a.m. LPD says, it appears to be an overdose. His name has not been released and an autopsy is pending.
  • Woman attempts to rob The Mill Coffee Shop

    A 62-year-old woman tried to rob The Mill Coffee Shop, near 48th and Prescott, Friday at 5:30 p.m. She walked into the shop saying she had a weapon and demanded money, she got nothing. She then left the store and was shortly apprehended, just outside of The Mill. Police have identified her as 62-year-old Katherine Boezell. She has since been booked in jail.

    LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - A 37-year-old Oxford, Nebraska, man has been sentenced to prison for sending sexually suggestive texts to someone he thought was a 15-year-old girl. Richard Walls was sentenced Tuesday in Lancaster County Court to 6-to-8 years in prison. He pleaded no contest last month to an attempted felony.     COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) - A judge has signed off on the charges against a man accused of killing a sheriff's deputy and wounding another while escaping from an Iowa jail.
