• Suspected Cult Leader Charged With Kidnapping After 4 Children Recovered

    HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. (CBS4) – The suspected cult leader who has been accused of kidnapping two young sisters and their two young brothers has been charged with kidnapping and child abuse.
    The girls, 4-year-old Hatti and 8-year-old Dina, were found alone in a building outside the town of Lund on Monday night.

    On Wednesday, Denver Mayor Michael Hancock announced My Denver PRIME, which is a new program that provides residents age 60 and older access to its recreation centers and pools free of charge.

    DENVER (CBS4)– The ringing of the Salvation Army bells were heard across downtown Denver on Wednesday, thanks to some special volunteers.
    On Wednesday, CBS4’s Kathy Walsh, Alan Gionet and Andrea Flores took to the Salvation Army kettle along the 16th Street Mall for “Celebrity Bell Ringing.”

    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – Someone tried to use a piece of heavy equipment stolen from a nearby construction site to break into an ATM in Colorado Springs, but they ended up leaving without any cash.

  • Lyft Launches “Ski Rack Mode” In Colorado High Country

    It just launched a “Ski Rack Mode” option.
    Customers who choose that option will be guaranteed a vehicle that can hold up to two snowboards and four skis.

    DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Residents are meeting with CDOT in Douglas County to discuss the expansion of I-25.
    Last month, voters passed two measures that will help fund the project.
    Now, CDOT says it wants to put toll lanes between Castle Rock and Monument.
    They’d work just like the express lanes on U.S. 36.

    DENVER (CBS4) – The city of Denver is getting nearly $19 million in a settlement.
    It sued online travel companies including Priceline and Orbitz for skipping out on tax bills.
    The lawsuit claimed a total of nine travel companies weren’t paying the full amount of the city’s hotel tax.
    The settlement covers ten years of taxes, plus penalties and interest.
