    COLLIN COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) – Love them or hate them, toll roads are a fact of life here in North Texas.
    But now, a State Representative has filed a bill he hopes will ultimately slam the brakes on most toll roads in the state for good.
    For many, especially in Collin County, they’re the only way to get around. But that doesn’t mean they like it when the bill comes.

  • Catholic Priest Accused Of Groping Texas Woman During Last Rites

    AUSTIN, Texas (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — A Roman Catholic priest in Austin has been arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge after he was accused of groping a woman in home hospice care while giving her last rites.
    Austin Police arrested Rev. Gerold Langsch and charged him with assault by contact stemming from the October 5, 2018 encounter.
    The 75-year-old priest is free on $15,000 bond. If convicted, he could be sentenced to a year in jail and fined up to $4,000.

    FRISCO, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) – The NFL is said to be investigating allegations Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Tyrone Crawford pushed police officers during an altercation at a bar, according to TMZ Sports.
    The incident in question happened at the Coyote Ugly Saloon in Panama City Beach, Florida, last Friday.
    NFL investigators have reportedly gone to the bar to try to get surveillance video of the incident.
    An NFL spokesperson declined comment when CBS 11 Sports reached out.

    IRVING (AP) — Nexstar is selling 19 television stations for $1.32 billion as part of its buyout deal with Tribune Media.

    COLLIN COUNTY (CBSDFW.COM) – Deeming him a child predator, a Collin County jury has sentenced a 35-year-old man from Royce City to life in prison.

  • Study: Fort Worth Police Department Needs More Than 300 Officers In Next Decade

    FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – The Fort Worth City Council found out Tuesday the Fort Worth Police Department needs to hire more than 300 police officers during the next decade.
    That’s according to a 331-page study looking at various city departments including the police department.
    One recommendation is to hire 35 sworn officers, mostly patrol officers, each year, along with ten civilians to work with the department.
