    SANTA ANA (CBSLA) — A Santa Ana SWAT team raided an Internet cafe early Thursday evening.
    As CBSLA Orange County reporter Michele Gile reports, many people were walked out of Happy Times Internet Cyber Cafe.
    It was a surprise operation by Santa Ana SWAT.
    Officers swarmed the 17th Street business looking for criminals and illegal activity.
    Police say complaints from the community is what prompted the raid. They want gangsters and guns off the streets.

  • Homeless Man Murdered At Santa Monica Pier

    SANTA MONICA (CBSLA) – A homeless man was found murdered in the area of the Santa Monica Pier Thursday morning.
    The victim was discovered at 6:40 a.m. under the pier by city workers, according to Santa Monica police. The victim had head injuries consistent with being struck with a blunt object.
    No suspect has been identified. The victim’s name was not immediately disclosed.

  • Woman Stabbed To Death Outside South LA Church, Suspect Arrested

    SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – A man has been arrested on murder charges in the stabbing death of a woman outside a church in South Los Angeles early Thursday morning.
    The stabbing occurred at about 3 a.m. on a sidewalk directly outside the Second Baptist Church at East 24th Street and Griffith Avenue. Los Angeles police responded to find a 55-year-old woman suffering from several lacerations.
    She was rushed to a hospital, where she died.

    SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA) — Parts of the Inland Empire were jolted awake Thursday after a minor earthquake struck San Bernardino.
    The magnitude-3.4 quake struck at 5:44 a.m. about 1 miles west-southwest of San Bernardino, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The earthquake struck at a depth of about 9 miles.
    The quake was mostly felt in surrounding communities, like Fontana, Ontario and Bloomington.
