  • Hiker Missing Near La Crescenta Found Safe

    LA CRESCENTA (CBSLA) – A 64-year-old man who went missing Sunday night after getting lost while hiking with his son in the San Gabriel Mountains above La Crescenta has been found safe.

    The man, identified as Angus Paulson, hiked out on his own at around 9 a.m. Monday and flagged down a passing car on Angeles Crest Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. His wife told CBS2 he was unhurt and thankful to be alive.

  • Burglars Hit LA Home Of Boxer Manny Pacquiao

    LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – A home belonging to Manny Pacquiao in the Larchmont neighborhood of Los Angeles was ransacked by burglars over the weekend while the boxer was away fighting in the welterweight championship bout in Las Vegas.
    The burglary was reported in the 500 block of North Plymouth Boulevard at 4:15 p.m. Sunday, according to Los Angeles police. CBS2 confirmed with the family that the home belongs to Pacquiao.

  • Search Underway For Missing Hiker Near La Crescenta

    LA CRESCENTA (CBSLA) – Authorities are searching for a man in his 50s who went missing Sunday night after getting lost while hiking with his son in the San Gabriel Mountains above La Crescenta.

  • Stargazers Pack Griffith Observatory To See Super Blood Wolf Moon

    GRIFFITH PARK (CBSLA) – Dozens of excited stargazers packed the Griffith Observatory Sunday night to get a look at the rare “super blood wolf moon,” the last total lunar eclipse viewable in the Southland for the next two years.
    Although the lunar eclipse was visible throughout North America with the naked eye, the Griffith Observatory provided telescopes with assistance from employees and local volunteers for an even better view.

    WASHINGTON (AP) — Kamala Harris, a first-term senator and former California attorney general known for her rigorous questioning of President Donald Trump’s nominees, entered the Democratic presidential race on Monday.

  • Young Mom Arrested After Toddler Is Found Abandoned In Upland Park

    UPLAND (CBSLA)  — A male toddler, between 15 and 17 months of age, was found Sunday morning in a stroller left in Cabrillo Park in Upland, authorities said.
    The child was found just after 8:30 a.m.
    Officers were sent to the scene where they found the boy with no accompanying note or identification.
    After receiving tips from people using social media, Upland Police said they were able to track down the child’s mother, 18-year-old Leilani Parker.
