    LA HABRA (CBSLA)  —  A six-vehicle crash left at least one person dead and six more injured Sunday evening in La Habra.
    The crash occurred at West Lambert Road and South Idaho Street around 7 p.m .
    LA County Fire said six people were injured and at least two people had to be extricated out of their vehicles. At least one of those victims is in critical condition, authorities said.

    JURUPA VALLEY (CBSLA) – An 8-month-old German Shepard is getting the nourishment he needs after someone left him clinging to life in the overnight drop box at the Riverside County Animal Shelter.

    EL MONTE (CBSLA) – Police Tuesday released a composite sketch of a man suspected of trying to kidnap and rape an 18-year-old woman in El Monte.
    Part of the attack, which occurred about midnight on Saturday in the area of Tyler Avenue and Brockway Street, was captured on surveillance video.The recording shows the man follow the woman, attack her and drag her around a corner before she later appears walking swiftly from the area.     Coroner’s officials confirmed Kjell Rasten, 78, shot himself around midday Monday at the couple’s home in the 1800 block of Lexington Road in Beverly Hills.

    SILER CITY, N.C. (CBS Local) — At least two people were injured after somebody placed razor blades under the handles of shopping carts at a Walmart store in North Carolina, authorities said.

    LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – Don Newcombe, the Cy Young Award-winning pitcher considered one of the all-time Dodger greats, has died at age 92, the team announced Tuesday.
    Newcombe pitched for 10 seasons, mostly for the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers. He won both the Cy Young and National League Most Valuable Player awards in 1956.

    LA PUENTE (CBSLA) — A suspected drunk driver is in custody after a chain reaction crash that hurt five people, including two California Highway Patrol officers, and shut down the eastbound 60 Freeway for hours early Tuesday.
