    AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — A woman who was hit while crossing Eggert Road near Main Street this morning has died. Amherst Police say she was pinned under the vehicle during the accident. Paramedics rushed her to ECMC.

    ELLICOTTVILLE, NY (WIVB) – We are getting word of an accident involving a FedEx tractor trailer accident in Cattaraugus County.
    Viewer Tim Smith sent us this picture of the crash that occurred on Route 219 just North of Ellicottville.   He said he spotted the accident around 5:30 a.m.
    We are awaiting details from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department but hear there were no serious injuries.

    HOUSTON (AP) — Former President George H.W. Bush was taken to the hospital over the weekend for shortness of breath and the 92-year-old is responding well to treatments, his spokesman said Wednesday.
    The 41st president was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital on Saturday, spokesman Jim McGrath said in an email to The Associated Press.

    BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – A 17-year-old boy is dead after losing control of a car and crashing it into a tree on the city’s east side. The three passengers, all 14-year-old girls, are currently at ECMC.
    Buffalo Police say it happened shortly after midnight on Kensington Avenue, near Grider Street. According to the investigators, the boy was headed east on Kensington when he lost control.

    BUFFALO, NY (WIVB) – Buffalo police say one person has died and three 14-year old girls were injured in an early morning accident.
    It took place on Kensington Avenue and Castle Place a little after midnight.
