    OVERLEA, Md. (WJZ) — Crews are on the scene of a water main break on Bel Air Road just outside the Baltimore city limits in Overlea.
    A Department of Public Works official tells WJZ it’s 12-inch break at Bel Air Road and Fullerton Avenue.
    Water is gushing into the street in the area.
    Bel Air Road is closed between Taylor Avenue and Northern Parkway.

    Baltimore County Police said a woman walking her dog on a trail found the body around 5 p.m. near the intersection of River and Thistle roads.
    The body has been transported to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
    The man’s name has not been released.

    Firefighters were called to Perring Parkway and Putty Hill Ave at around 10 p.m. Sunday night.

    Crews had to use special rescue tools to free the trapped driver.

    And once again, practice sessions will be open to the public.
    There will be 14 open and free practices at the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, with the ability to host nearly 2,000 fans a day.

    BOWLEY’S QUARTERS, Md. (WJZ) — A 9-year-old boy suffered potentially life-threatening injuries Monday morning when he was struck by a car in Bowley’s Quarters, police said.

  • Baltimore City Council Introduces Plastic Bag Ban Bill

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Discussions are officially underway for new legislation that would ban plastic bags in Baltimore.
    Councilman Bill Henry introduced the bill that would create a checkout bag surcharge for paper, compostable and other bags given out for delivery or carryout use.
    The exact amount hasn’t been announced.
    Last month, the City Council passed a ban on plastic foam containers for carryout food and drinks- making Maryland the first state to ban foam food containers.
