    ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The National Sailing Hall of Fame will officially leave Maryland for Rhode Island, barring any last-minute discoveries.
    The Capital reports the board of directors voted 17-9 Tuesday to proceed with its deal to purchase space in Newport’s historic Armory Building.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A Hagerstown man is blaming his mother after a collapsible rifle was found in his carry-on bag at Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.
    TSA officers stopped the man on Friday after his luggage went through the TSA checkpoint X-ray machine.
    A .40 caliber rifle was found in his bag, but it wasn’t loaded.

    PORTLAND, OR (CBS Local) — An Oregon boy is seeing for the first time thanks to a new gene therapy treatment.

    (CNN) — First lady Melania Trump’s plane was forced to return to Joint Base Andrews Wednesday after a “mechanical issue” that led to smoke in the cabin.

    ESSEX, Md. (WJZ) — An elderly woman is in serious condition from smoke inhalation after she was rescued from a house fire in Essex Tuesday night.
    Three police officers who arrived at the scene are also in serious condition from smoke inhalation as well.
    Baltimore County Fire Department tweeted out that a rescue was underway at around 8:30 p.m.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A fine fall day despite some clouds at times.
    Wednesday will bring more sun and a strong breeze. We should top out in the low to mid-60s but as colder air moves in later on, we may drop into the upper 30s by dawn on Thursday.
    Very chilly air is sticking around, with the highs only in the low-50s and we may even see our first frosts in the normally colder suburbs by Friday morning.
