  • Lockhart High coach placed on leave after complaints about his conduct

    LOCKHART, Texas (KXAN) — A Lockhart High School teacher and coach has been placed on administrative leave after the school district became aware of complaints against him.
    Lockhart ISD Superintendent Susan Bohn said Zach Underwood, who is listed on the school’s online directory as a P.E. teacher, was placed on leave Tuesday.

    TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — A man in his 60s is dead after a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 71 at Pedernales Summit Parkway Tuesday afternoon — a few miles west of Bee Cave.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 38-year-old man killed earlier this month while crossing East Riverside Drive has been identified by Austin police.
    Mark Antonio Rodriguez was crossing mid-block in the 7300 block of East Riverside near State Highway 71 when he was hit by a Chrysler sedan going east, police said.

    TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — New rules for Florida nursing homes after 14 people died from heat exposure in an unpowered center after Hurricane Irma are moving slowly.
