  SANTA ANA — Authorities are searching for a gunman who robbed a convenience store Tuesday, Oct. 17.
  The incident occurred around 9:50 p.m. at the Santiago Food Mart-76 gas station, 617 East 17th St., police said.
  The robber entered the store and approached  two cashiers, according to police.He then pulled out a silver and gray semi-automatic handgun that he pointed at a female cashier and ordered her to put money from the registers into a pink tote bag, police said.

  DETROIT — The U.S. Justice Department announced a $138.7 million settlement Tuesday with more than 100 people who accused the FBI of grossly mishandling allegations of sexual assault against Larry Nassar in 2015 and 2016, a critical time gap that allowed the sports doctor to continue to prey on victims before his arrest.
